When I first read about the OnMyWay App, I figured it was too good to be true. The app claims to pay out rewards in exchange for users to not text while they drive. Although the app is EXTREMELY misleading, I have successfully redeemed gift cards from it. For an app that sits on your phone without requiring any work on your part, I do think it's worth it to snag the occasional free gift cards in exchange for safe driving!
Keep in mind, this app will not pay you cash to your bank account unless you refer an insane amount of people to it. (It's all in the fine print.) My best advice is to let your credits build until a gift card shows up in the app that you can use. I did this last month, and bought Christmas presents with it!
Here's how to get started:
1. Download the app HERE and create an account.
2. Allow the app to read your location. (This is to track how far you've driven)
3. Invite your friends to the app with your own link to be paid for their miles too!
4. Remember, your phone must remain locked while you're driving for this to work. (It will never penalize your balance if your phone unlocks.)
Leaving this on your phone and checking it every once in a while could really pay off in the long run.
xoxo,
Mattie
